Dead stock calculator

How much money is tied up in unsold stock?

It’s the units with no sale in 90 days, multiplied by what you paid for them. Put in three numbers for an estimate.

How the sum works

A made-up example: a shop has 140 products that haven’t sold in 90 days. It holds 6 units of each on average, and paid €18 a unit. 140 × 6 × €18 = €15,120 of cash it can’t spend on anything else.

It’s an estimate, because it multiplies averages. Going through your own list line by line gives the exact figure: here’s how to do it from your exports.

Why 90 days?

There’s no official cut-off. 90 days is a common point to start looking, so this page uses it. Verity’s own reports start at 180 days, and you can change that to suit what you sell.
