Cookie policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Verity sets one cookie, to keep you signed in, and keeps a few preferences in your browser. Nothing on this site tracks you. Every number below is the one the software actually uses.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and send back. Local storage is a similar place in your browser, which only the site’s own pages can read. The law treats both alike, so this policy lists both.

Verity sets one cookie.

NameSet byWhat forTypeHow long
verity_session Verity (useverityapp.com) Keeps you signed in, or keeps your tour going Strictly necessary 14 days from signing in; 30 minutes for a tour

Page scripts cannot read it (HttpOnly), it is sent only over an encrypted connection (Secure), and it is not sent along when another site links to this one in the background (SameSite=Lax). We store only a SHA-256 digest of it, so even a copy of our database could not be used to sign in as you.

On our side, a session also ends after 14 days without use, and after 90 days whatever happens. Signing out ends it at once. In the last 5 minutes of a tour you can keep it going for another 30; the tour asks for no account and no email address.

3. What your browser keeps

These are not cookies. Your browser keeps them in its local storage for this site, and only Verity’s own pages read them.

Romanian law (Law 506/2004, article 4(6)(b)) asks for no consent to what is strictly necessary to give you a service you asked for. Everything above is: staying signed in, the tour you started, and opening the site and the app the way you left them. Nothing else is set, so there is nothing to ask you about.

5. Other sites’ cookies

None. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party scripts or fonts. Every page loads only from Verity’s own address, and the browser is told to refuse anything else. A link to another site, such as the LinkedIn profile on the home page, sends nothing until you follow it.

6. How to control them

Your browser’s settings let you see, delete and block cookies and site data. Clearing this site’s data removes everything in the tables above. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot sign in or take the tour; the rest of the site works without it.

7. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
